Emmitt Smith, a renowned figure in the world of American football, is widely regarded as one of the greatest running backs in the history of the sport. Throughout his 15-season career, he amassed an incredible list of accomplishments that contributed to the Dallas Cowboys’ success during the 1990s. The eight-time Pro Bowlers holds the NFL record for the most career rushing yards, surpassing the 18,000-yard mark, and is also the league’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns. His exceptional performances earned him numerous accolades, including three Super Bowl championships, the Super Bowl MVP award, and the league MVP title. In 2010, Smith was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame during the first year he was eligible, and in 2019, was selected to the NFL 100 All-Time Team, a list honoring the best players of the NFL’s first 100 years.
